Maybe if my rock had Internet access

Can anyone successfully live under a rock, and if so, would it really affect their ability to stay up-to-date on current events? Just once I'd like to find a guy living under a rock and start firing questions at him like "What do you think of the Tigers this year?" or "Do you think Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn will last?" or "What did you think when you heard that the principal from The Breakfast Club had died?"
If he responded with "I hadn't heard about that", I could then say "What, have you been living under a rock?"
I think we'd both get a good laugh from that.
